The Last Reason

Dear Tanushri,
I absolutely loved your story. I was picturing the events as I was reading along...I think that feeling in itself is a testimony that your story is engaging the reader.
Keep writing,

Madhumita.

A Tale of Two Babies

Angana,

Thanks for making this blog happen. I know a 'word' that will capture your thought of immortalizing the post: 'webmortalize'....submitted by yours truly to Merriam Webster's open dictionary (http://www3.merriam-webster.com/opendictionary/)

OLFACTORY (A Short Story)

A big "thank you" to all the readers who read the story and cared enough to leave generous comments for this small-time (and extremely irregular) writer. It is encouragement like this that keeps me going.
Thanks again,

Madhumita

Public Radio Addiction

Hey Red Strawberry,

After I posted my blog, I have discovered many fellow NPR addicts, some of them from my known friend circle, and some (like you) from the much bigger network of virtual acquaintances. Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts,

Madhumita.

Public Radio Addiction

A friend of mine, Suchismita Chattopadhya, who is equally enthusiastic about NPR, has written something which I thought I'd share with the readers.

"I have always tried to make use of my driving time (because once I get home or reach work, there is no time, no time) by turning on the Public Radio station, so that I can keep up with the world around me and simultaneously enjoy what I am listening to. It also happened sometimes that even after reaching my destination, I was seated in the car for a while, because I could not leave before getting the whole story."

Just yesterday, the same thing heppened to me. There was a commentary about the new instant messaging phenomenon called 'tweeting' (http://ianhocking.com/2007/04/much-ado-about-tweeting.html) playing on 'All Things Considered'. I had to listen until it was finished before I could step out from the car to pick up my son.

A Tale of Two Babies

Dear Aditya, and Subiron,

I am glad that you enjoyed reading this rather simple account of a mom's emotion.

Dear Rithu,

You are right. It is a privilege to have an old college friend whose kid gets along with your kid of the same age. It adds incentive to making more plans like this.
Thanks,

Madhumita.

10 Things that Happened to Me for the First Time after I Became a Mother

Dear Winallover,

I like your idea of next blog topic: “10 Things that Happened to Me for the First Time after I fall in love’’...:-)

The Namesake

Sanghouston,
I agree...we are doing free publicity for the novel and the movie "Namesake" :-)
I liked the movie better than the book. And Kal Penn was pretty OK in the movie...but Tabu surpassed everyone else.
