A friend of mine, Suchismita Chattopadhya, who is equally enthusiastic about NPR, has written something which I thought I'd share with the readers.

"I have always tried to make use of my driving time (because once I get home or reach work, there is no time, no time) by turning on the Public Radio station, so that I can keep up with the world around me and simultaneously enjoy what I am listening to. It also happened sometimes that even after reaching my destination, I was seated in the car for a while, because I could not leave before getting the whole story."

Just yesterday, the same thing heppened to me. There was a commentary about the new instant messaging phenomenon called 'tweeting' (http://ianhocking.com/2007/04/much-ado-about-tweeting.html) playing on 'All Things Considered'. I had to listen until it was finished before I could step out from the car to pick up my son.
